Mini-Ulysse

Hi pals,

We had the great news confirmed last Friday : 3 pups were born, 2 girls and a boy. They are very tiny and we do not have pics yet. Upon Autumn's special request, here are pictures of the mummy. As you will see, she's no pure-bred WFT, and I apologize for not asking my BFF and Autumn in particular before I went to meet her ! However, you should not be worried Autumn, since you know U R # 1 in my ♥ and that's forever ... You know no girl can compete !

La grande nouvelle a été confirmée Vendredi : 3 petits chiots sont nés, 2 filles et un garçon. Ils sont minuscules et nous n'avons pas encore de photos. Pour répondre à la demande d'Autumn, voici des photos de la maman. Comme vous le verrez, elle est croisée fox terrier, et je m'excuse auprès de mes amis, et en particulier d'Autumn, de ne pas les avoir consultés avant d'aller la rencontrer ! Quoi qu'il en soit, Autumn, tu ne devrais pas t'inquiéter comme cela, parce que tu est N°1 dans mon ♥ et pour toujours ... Tu sais qu'aucune fille ne peut prendre ta place !

GOOD NEWS ONLY ... / QUE DES BONNES NOUVELLES ...

Hello buddies,

Here I am again, back with some good news. So last time I was ready to let you know about it, but I was also very sad about our dear friend Altaïr crossing the rainbow bridge that I decided to postpone this message and tell you about it another time.

Me revoilà avec de bonnes nouvelles. Donc, la dernière fois, je m'apprêtais à vous en parler, mais j'étais si triste à propos de notre douce amie Altaïr qui a rejoint les étoiles que j'ai décidé de remettre à plus tard ce message et de vous en parler une autre fois.

Since spring's now settled here, I can enjoy the strolls with the horses even better, and I even had a friend with me last time. I showed him all my secret spots for bathing, rolling in mud, etc ... And he looked as though he enjoyed it very much. His name is Nemo, and I hope he'll come back again with me since it was fun !!!

Etant donné que le printemps est maintenant bien installé, je profite encore mieux de mes balades avec les chevaux, et la dernière fois, un pote m'a même accompagné. Je lui ai montré tous mes spots secrets pour se baigner, se rouler dans la boue, etc ... Et il a eu l'air de beaucoup aimer ça. Il s'appelle Nemo, et j'espère qu'il viendra encore car on s'est bien amusés !!!

Now the great news ... Maybe some of you remember my having a blind date with a 'kind of' foxy girl in February ... Well Mom told me that I'd probably become a daddy !!! It's almost certain, and the due date is April 24th, so we're almost there ... I can't wait and neither can Mom, so paws crossed until then, and I'll let you know as soon as I get the news.

Maintenant, place à la grande nouvelle ... Certains d'entre vous se souviennent peut-être de mon rendez-vous coquin avec une jeune fille "type fox" en Février ... Eh bien Maman m'a dit que j'allais probablement être papa !!! C'est presque sûr, et c'est prévu pour les environs du 24 Avril, nous y sommes presque ... Je suis si impatient, et Maman aussi, donc je croise les pattes jusque-là et je vous tiendrai au courant dès que j'ai des nouvelles.

GOOD NEWS / BAD NEWS ... UNE BONNE ET UNE MAUVAISE NOUVELLE ...

Hey pals,
During the week-end, I thought I was going to post a new message to tell you how wonderful my week-end had been, and how happy I was from the good news Mom told me, but ... Unfortunately, the week-end ended with a very sad event so I do not know which one to begin with. I think I'll keep the good news for next time and tell you about it in a few days.

The bad news is that a horse fell ill at the ranch 3 days ago, a beautiful and gentle arab little mare with chestnut coat, and that although she was very brave and fought for her life, she did not win the battle and passed away last night.
At the start, she only looked listless and picky, but her condition suddenly grew worse on Sunday morning and the vet could not tell what the matter was with her. After she got several injections, she seemed to feel better but in the evening she looked so miserable that when we left the ranch, we were very sad and much doubted she would get over it ...
Although she was not a member of the family, we all loved her very much and her owners too who are heart broken and felt helpless during her illness. Although there is a suspicion of tetanus, the diagnostic is not definite, since the blood analysis was meant to discover either an infection or a poisoning and came back clear of both.

Should you have an experience to share regarding this disease, please tell us since we're now worried about all the other horses ...

RIP sweet little Altaïr, and run free, we will miss you ...

GOT IT !!! J'AI REUSSI !!!

This question was becoming a bit of an obsession ... What could I do to activate the coming of spring ? First of all I had to give the Coué method a try  (if you do not know what this is, you'd better use this link : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%89mile_Cou%C3%A9), so I decided to pretend that everything was OK and that spring had arrived. I asked Mom to book me an appointment at the beauty parlour to get rid of all that fleece of mine ... If I got dessed for spring, it might help, who knows ... Then I watched ...

Cette question commençait à m'obséder ... Que pouvais-je faire pour déclencher l'arrivée du printemps ? D'abord, il fallait que je tente la méthode Coué, et j'ai donc décidé de faire comme si tout allait bien et que le printemps était là. J'ai demandé à Maman de me prendre RV à l'institut de beauté pour me débarrasser de tout cette toison ; si je mettais mes habits de printemps, cela pourrait aider, qui sait ... Ensuite, j'ai observé ce qui allait se passer ...

OK, maybe wearing my sunglasses and cap could help, since I had to keep a T-shirt otherwise I would be too cold :-(((

Bon, peut-être vaudrait-il mieux que je mette mes lunettes de soleil et ma casquette vu que je devais garder mon T-shirt pour ne pas prendre froid :-(((

Now let us wait until the end of the week and see what happens ... Well, believe me or not, it worked !!! Saturday was not rainy as supposed to and on Sunday I could enjoy sunshine again ; it was sooooooooo good, I could not resist the temptation to roll on the grass during our stroll with the horses :

Maintenant, attendons la fin de la semaine, et voyons ce qui va se passer ... Eh bien, croyez-moi si vous voulez, ça a marché !!! Samedi, il n'a pas plu comme cela était prévu, et Dimanche, j'ai pu à nouveau profiter du soleil ; c'était tellement bon que je n'ai pas pu résister à la tentation de me rouler dans l'herbe durant notre balade avec les chevaux :

Then when we came back home, I settled on a chair on the balcony, and waited for Mom to bring me a beer or something ...

Ensuite quand nous sommes rentrés, je me suis installé sur une chaise sur le balcon et j'ai attendu que Maman m'apporte une bière ou quelque chose à boire ...

Now Monday was even better ; it was sunny and hot so before we left to the ranch I put some sun lotion and took a nap by the pool (but did not swim since the water was too cold -only 12°C) ...

Ensuite, il a fait encore plus beau Lundi ; le temps était ensoleillé et chaud si bien qu'avant de partir pour le ranch j'ai mis de la crème solaire et ai fait une sieste au bord de la piscine (je n'ai pas pu me baigner car l'eau était trop froide - seulement 12°) ...

Then they woke me up and we went for our stroll. What a great week-end, 3 days' fun and lots of sun ; hope I'll get lots more of them, since SPRING ARRIVED !!!

Ensuite ils m'ont réveillé et nous sommes partis nous balader. Quel super week-end, je me suis bien amusé et j'ai bien profité du soleil durant ces 3 jours ; j'espère qu'il y en aura plein d'autres comme cela, puisque LE PRINTEMPS EST ARRIVE !!!
